Location Description
An ancient city of Campania destroyed by the volcanic eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in CE 79, Pompeii was named as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.

Garden Description
This peristyle garden had two entrances on the west and the south. It was located at the rear of the tablinum and had a portico on the west and south enclosed by a low wall and supported by columns. At the west entrance there was a cistern. A large window that looked out into the garden located in the triclinium was framed by two engaged columns.
