Garden Description

A fragmentary inscription found in 1898 built into a modern fountain at the lower maharra in the village of Iki kalissi near Juliopolis records a funerary donation of "a complete area for a garden" (τόπον ἐπὶ κήποις ὁλόκληρον, 4-5), the revenue from which was to be shared equally among the donor's children in commemorating him with libations at his tomb.
