Garden Description

The house of Venus is located at the S of the capitol and is adjacent to the temple of Caracalla's victory. The house is laid out on two levels. The peristyle garden and the main reception rooms are located on the higher level. A large rectangular pool (V, 2.80x5.45m.) filled most of the space of the garden.
