A portico supported by four pillars at the back of this house enclosed this peristyle garden (a) on the west. There was a passageway to the north of this garden that provided a back entrance to this house. A roof tile found in the garden in 1938 was inscribed FVLGVR (CIL IV.8223) and marked the spot where lightning had struck and where all affected items were buried.
